Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly is a medium-hold styling gel designed to define, tame frizz and add shine to wavy, curly and coily hair. This silicone-free formula creates a flexible cast that locks in shape while drying, which can be scrunched out for soft, touchable curls with a glossy finish.

  • Defines Curls: Enhances natural curl pattern and reduces frizz for polished waves and coils.
  • Medium Hold: Provides structure without stiffness, allowing for movement and bounce.
  • Silicone-Free: Formulated without silicones, sulphates or parabens for clean styling.
  • Glossy Finish: Adds visible shine and hydration to dry or dull curls.

The gel-like jelly texture offers excellent slip, making it easy to distribute through wet hair using the scrunch-in technique. It is suitable for colour-treated and chemically treated hair, as well as hair extensions. The formula washes out easily with water, preventing buildup.

To use, apply to damp hair from mid-lengths to ends. Scrunch upwards to encourage curl formation and create a cast. Allow to air-dry or diffuse. Once completely dry, gently scrunch the hair with dry hands to break the cast and reveal soft, defined curls. For extra hold in humid conditions, leave the cast intact for longer before scrunching.

How to use

Start with damp hair. Take a small amount of Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly Hair Styling Gel. Rub it between your palms to warm it up. Apply evenly from roots to tips. Style your hair with a comb, brush, or fingers. Define specific sections if desired. Avoid overusing to prevent stiffness. Allow the gel to air dry or use a blow dryer on low heat. Wash out easily with water when you are ready to change your style.
