Here are some common ways to use a hair band: Basic ponytail: Brush your hair back and gather it at the nape of your neck. Hold it in place with one hand and use the other hand to slide the hair band over your wrist, making a loop. With the loop still on your wrist, use your fingers to twist your hair into a loose coil. Then, slip the hair band over the coil and pull it tight. Adjust the hair band and the hair until the ponytail is secure and in the desired position. Half-up, half-down style: Part your hair in the middle or to one side, and gather the top section of hair from both sides of your part. Hold the hair in place at the back of your head with one hand, and use the other hand to slide the hair band over your wrist, making a loop. With the loop still on your wrist, use your fingers to twist the hair into a loose coil. Then, slip the hair band over the coil and pull it tight.
