The Balmain Imperiale Hair Clip in Tortoise Shell is an oversized, handcrafted claw clip designed to secure long and thick hair with elegance. Made from durable cellulose acetate, this accessory features a distinctive tortoise shell pattern and the signature 18K gold-plated Balmain B logo.

  • Secure Hold: Internal elastic mechanism prevents slipping and holds three times more hair than standard large clips.
  • Luxury Material: Handcrafted from high-quality cellulose acetate with a polished tortoise shell finish.
  • Signature Detail: Adorned with an 18K gold-plated Balmain B logo for a couture aesthetic.
  • Versatile Design: Suitable for all hair types, specifically optimized for securing ponytails, buns, and updos on long or thick hair.

This Balmain claw clip combines functional strength with luxury design. The concealed internal elastic tensioning system ensures the clip stays firmly in place without pulling, making it ideal for elaborate updos or simple daily styles. The oversized 6.5 cm structure provides ample capacity for voluminous hair while maintaining a sleek profile.

Crafted as part of Balmain Hair's Les Accessoires collection, the Imperiale line represents a fusion of Parisian chic and practical utility. The smooth acetate construction is gentle on hair strands, preventing breakage while offering a strong grip. The tortoise shell colorway offers a classic, neutral tone that complements various hair colors and outfits.

How to use

Here are the steps to use Balmain Imperiale Hair Clip: Start by combing or brushing your hair to remove any tangles or knots. This will make it easier to work with and ensure a smoother finish. Select the section of hair that you want to clip. This could be a small section of hair near your face, or a larger section at the back of your head, depending on the style you are trying to achieve. Hold the section of hair firmly with one hand, and use your other hand to open the hair clip. Depending on the type of hair clip you are using, you may need to press a lever or slide a button to open it. Place the teeth or ridges of the hair clip onto the section of hair, as close to your scalp as possible. Make sure the clip is securely in place, and that it is not pulling or tugging on your hair. Release the clip gently, allowing it to close around the section of hair. You should feel a slight pressure as the clip secures the hair in place. Adjust the clip as needed to ensure that the hair is secure and in the desired position. You may need to use additional clips to secure other sections of hair, depending on the style you are creating. When you are ready to remove the clip, simply reverse the process by gently opening the clip and sliding it out of your hair. With a bit of practice and experimentation, you can use hair clips to create a wide range of styles, from simple and elegant to bold and dramatic.
